Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the specified qualification requirements and age limit to be eligible for the Junior Clerk position.
Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university. Six months of training in Computer Office Automation, Bookkeeping, and Word Processing from a certified institution. Alternatively, candidates must hold a Diploma in Computer recognized by AICTE.
Typing Test Requirement: Candidates must qualify for a computer typing test with a minimum speed of: 30 words per minute in English OR 25 words per minute in Hindi
Age Limit: The age limit for General Category is 18-30 years, for OBC Candidates is 18-33 years and for SC/ST Candidates is 18-35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms for PwBDs, Ex-Servicemen, and female candidates.

Application Fee:
The application fee for General/EWS/OBC is ₹500/-. However SC/ST/PwBD/Women are exempted from application fee.
Selection Process: The recruitment process for Junior Clerk at BHU consists of the following stages:
- Written Test: The written exam will test General Knowledge, English/Hindi Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge.
