NIT Srinagar JRF Post in Civil Engineering Department for GLOF Risk Project

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has announced a vacancy for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Civil Engineering. The opening is under a research project titled “Geophysical and Geotechnical Characterisation of Three Moraine-Dammed Lakes in Western Himalaya for GLOF Hazard and Risk Assessment,” sponsored by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.

As per the official notification issued on 15 July 2025, the position is purely temporary, initially for one year, with a possibility of extension for a second and third year based on performance and funding availability. The fellowship amount for the JRF post is Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
