Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), South Zone, has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for various Apprentice posts. There are 25 positions open under multiple trades.
As mentioned in the official notification of IRCTC South Zone, the upper age limit for these posts is 25 years as on 01 April 2023, with age relaxation as per rules. The apprentices will be selected for a duration of 6 to 12 months depending on the trade, and the selection will be made on the basis of merit in the matriculation exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed Matriculation with at least 50% marks. Additional trade-specific requirements include ITI certificates (for COPA), graduation or pursuing graduation in relevant disciplines like Commerce, CA Inter, Supply Chain, HR, Tourism, IT, etc.
Age Limit:
The age should be between 15 to 25 years as on 01 April 2023. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Ex-Servicemen (10 years), and PwBD (10 years).
Other Requirements:
Candidates must have passed the required qualification by 01 January 2025. Reservation rules are applicable as per the Government of India guidelines. Candidates claiming EWS, PwBD, SC/ST, OBC, or Ex-Servicemen quota must submit valid certificates during verification.

Selection Process:
Selection will be done on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the matriculation examination. There will be no written test or interview. In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given to older candidates, and then to those who passed earlier. Final selection is subject to document verification.
