Central University of Jammu has released the official notification inviting applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the CSIR-ASPIRE funded project. This recruitment is purely temporary and contractual, with the tenure initially set for 12 months, extendable based on performance.
As per the official advertisement, only one position is available under the Zoology Department. Selected candidates will work on a project focused on high-altitude protected mammals, including tasks such as sample collection, microscopy-based analysis, and DNA barcoding. The upper age limit for the JRF post is 28 years, with relaxations as per government norms.

Educational Qualification:
To apply for this post, candidates must have a B.S. 4-year programme, Integrated BS-MS, M.Sc. in Zoology, Wildlife Science, Forensic Sciences or an equivalent degree with 55% marks. Additionally, the candidate must have qualified NET or GATE in Life Sciences and must have studied Zoology at the graduation level. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Trichology, DNA Barcoding, and Image Analysis software.
Age Limit:
The age limit is 28 years. However, relaxation of up to 5 years will be provided to SC/ST/OBC, women, and PwD candidates as per rules.

Applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria must fill the Google Form and send the application form along with all required documents either to the postal address of the Principal Investigator or by email on or before 5 June 2025.
Selection Process:
The selection will be based on shortlisting followed by an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email. The interview may be conducted online, and selected candidates will be expected to join at the earliest.
