Eligibility Criteria of Cluster University Srinagar Vacancies

| Assistant Professor | Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the concerned subject from an Indian University or equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. |
A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided for reserved categories as per eligibility rules.
Candidates having cleared NET/SLET/SET shall be preferred. Ph.D degree holders fulfilling UGC Regulations 2009/2016 criteria are exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirement.
Candidates having Ph.D from foreign universities ranked among top 500 in World University Rankings may also be considered as per the notification.
Salary Details
The salary for the contractual Assistant Professor posts shall be as per university norms.
Period of Engagement
The engagement shall be up to the end of Academic Session 2026-2027 or till a regular vacancy is filled on regular basis, whichever is earlier.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of criteria set by UGC and approved by the University.
The interview schedule and venue details will be available on the university website. Selection shall be based on performance in the interview.
Important Conditions
- Candidates seeking exemption from NET/SLET/SET are required to produce valid certificates issued by the concerned University.
- The university reserves the right not to fill any advertised post if circumstances warrant.
- No salary will be paid during vacations within the contract period unless engaged by the university for any assignment.
- The engagement can be terminated by either side after one month notice or one month salary in lieu of notice.
- Candidates must submit hard copies of online applications before the prescribed date.
