Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) has announced the recruitment notification, inviting application from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up vacancies of Junior Manager and Junior Technician positions. A total of 80 vacancies are available under a fixed tenure contract at Engine Factory Avadi, Chennai. The available posts include Junior Manager (Production, Quality, Design, HR, Safety, Finance, Marketing) and Junior Technician (Fitter General, Machinist, Welder). The application process is offline, and eligible candidates must submit their applications before 5th April 2025.
The recruitment drive aims to hire professionals in various disciplines such as production, quality control, design, human resources, finance, marketing, and technical trades. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for these positions must meet the required qualifications.
Junior Manager: Candidate must have a first-class degree in the relevant engineering discipline or an MBA/Postgraduate degree in the respective field.
Junior Technician: Candidates must hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade.
Age Limit: The minimum age required is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms. OBC candidates receive a relaxation of 3 years, SC/ST candidates 5 years, and PwBD candidates 10 years.
Application Process:
Candidates must download the application form from the official website www.avnl.co.in, complete it accurately, and attach self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience certificates, proof of age, caste certificate (if applicable), and application fee receipt. The completed application must be sent via post to The Chief General Manager, Engine Factory Avadi, Chennai – 600054. The envelope should be superscribed with “Application for the Post of (Name of the Post) – Advt. No. EFA/FTC/2025/01”.
Application Fee:
The application fee for General/OBC category candidates is ₹300/-. However SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Female are Exempted from fee.
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of multiple stages, including shortlisting based on academic performance, trade tests, and interviews. Junior Manager applicants will be assessed based on 85% weightage of marks obtained in their qualification and 15% weightage for the interview. Junior Technicians will be selected based on 100% weightage on their NAC/NTC marks, followed by a trade test. Document verification will be conducted before the final selection.
Salary and Benefits:
The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary along with additional allowances. Junior Managers will receive Rs. 30,000 per month plus allowances, while Junior Technicians will receive Rs. 21,000 per month plus allowances. Other benefits include Rs. 3,000 per month for medical, insurance, and conveyance, provident fund contributions, gratuity for service beyond one year, and ex-gratia payment of Rs. 10 lakh in case of accidental death. Industrial canteen facilities and accommodation (subject to availability) will also be provided.
