Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate in Library & Information Science from a UGC-recognized university/institute with pass class.
Experience: Minimum 6 months post-qualification experience in Library & Information Science.
Age Limit (as on 01.02.2026)
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years
- Age relaxation applicable for PwBD, SC/ST, OBC and Ex-Servicemen as per Government norms.

- Additional consolidated allowance of Rs. 12,000 per year towards medical insurance, attire, footwear, stitching charges, etc.
Tenure & Career Progression
- Initial engagement: 2 years, extendable by 1 year (maximum 3 years).
- Trainee Officers completing 2 years with satisfactory performance may be considered for advancement to Project Officer-I.
- Retention Bonus up to Rs. 1,00,000 applicable on completion of overall tenure as Project Officer.

- Management of digital and print library services
- Procurement, cataloguing, classification, and maintenance of books, journals, e-resources
- Library automation using Libsys (Version 10)
- Inventory control, reporting, and data management
- Supporting online certification exams and academic programs
- User training for library systems and electronic resources

Selection Process
- Written Test (120 minutes)
- 100 questions (Technical + General Aptitude)
- 1 mark for each correct answer
- 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers
- Minimum qualifying marks:

- PwBD: 30%
- Written test will be conducted only in Bengaluru.
