ISRO NESAC Recruitment 2026 for Research Scientist and JRF Posts

North Eastern Space Applications Centre has released the official notification for engagement of Research Scientist and Junior Research Fellow posts on a temporary project basis. The notification has been issued under Advertisement No. NESAC/RMT-TEMP/WI-01/2026 dated 12 February 2026.

A total of 10 vacancies have been announced. The selection will be done through walk-in-interview at NESAC, Umiam, Meghalaya. Interested candidates must check eligibility details carefully before appearing for the interview.

Eligibility Criteria of ISRO NESAC Vacancies

Rounding off of marks or CGPA is not allowed. Conversion of CGPA into percentage must be certified by the University. If no scheme exists, percentage will be calculated as:

National Eligibility Test Requirement for JRF


Candidates applying for JRF posts must have qualified any one of the following:

  • CSIR-UGC NET
  • GATE
  • JAM
  • BET
  • JEST / JGEEBILS
  • AICE conducted by ICAR
  • SLET

Score card and year of qualification must be produced during interview.

Emoluments


Research Scientistโ‚น56,100 per month
Junior Research Fellowโ‚น37,000 per month

Walk-in-Interview Process


Step 1: Download Biodata Format from nesac.gov.in and type the biodata in prescribed format. Handwritten biodata will not be accepted.

Step 2: Bring original documents, one set of self-attested photocopies, and NOC if employed.

Step 3: Report at NESAC, Umiam, Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya on 05 or 06 March 2026 at 08:30 AM.

Step 4: Carry valid Government ID proof such as AADHAR, Passport, Voter ID or Driving License.

Selection will be based purely on interview performance. There will be no written test.
