Eligibility Criteria of CSIR-NPL Technical Assistant Vacancies
Educational Qualifications:
For Engineering Disciplines (TA01 to TA04):
Candidates must have a three-year full-time diploma in the relevant branch with at least 60 percent marks along with two years of relevant experience.
For Science Disciplines (TA04 to TA06):
Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree in the relevant subject with at least 60 percent marks and one year of relevant experience.
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 28 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and CSIR employees as per rules.
CSIR-NPL Technical Assistant Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of two stages.
Trade Test:
This is a qualifying practical test to shortlist candidates for the written examination.
Written Examination:
The written test consists of three papers:
Paper I is a mental ability test and is qualifying in nature.
Paper II covers general awareness and English language.
Paper III is based on the concerned subject or trade.
Final merit is prepared based on marks obtained in Paper II and Paper III only.
CSIR-NPL Technical Assistant Salary 2026
The Technical Assistant post is placed at Pay Level 06 under the 7th CPC.
The pay scale ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. The approximate initial gross monthly emoluments are ₹72,240 including HRA in Delhi, along with other allowances as per rules.
