About Pediatric & Neonatal Facilities at GMC Srinagar
The Government Children Hospital associated with GMC Srinagar is a 500-bedded tertiary care pediatric facility. It provides comprehensive pediatric subspecialty services including Pediatric Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Neurology, Surgery, and Ophthalmology.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is NNF-accredited (Level IIIA) and equipped with advanced facilities such as HFOVs, bubble CPAPs, high-end incubators, and in-house echocardiography and ultrasonography services. The department offers 17 MD Pediatrics seats annually and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
