Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has released the notification for recruitment of Medical Officers under the Health and Family Welfare Department. There are 480 vacancies for the Medical Officer post.

Eligibility Criteria of JKPSC Medical Officer Vacancies


Educational Qualification

Candidates must have: MBBS or possession of a recognised Graduate Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Holders of educational qualifications included in the Part-II of the 3rd Schedule should fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Candidates must upload the following documents while filling the online form:

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • MBBS Degree Certificate with consolidated mark cards
  • Internship Certificate
  • Registration Certificate

No further opportunity to upload documents will be provided after the last date.

How to Apply


  • Candidates must apply online through the JKPSC website.
  • Applicants should update their One Time Registration before filling the form.
  • The online application form will be available from 05 January 2026.
  • The last date to submit the form including uploading all documents and paying the fee is 04 February 2026.

Applicants can edit permitted fields in the form from 05 February 2026 to 07 February 2026.

Additional Instructions


  • Multiple applications using different User IDs may lead to rejection.
  • Only the application with the higher Registration ID will be considered.
  • Strict disciplinary action will be taken for misuse.
  • Physically challenged candidates have no application fee.
  • Candidates must carry valid ID and two recent passport photos to the exam centre.
