The Department of Computer Science and IT, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu has invited applications for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The post is under a project sanctioned by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The project is titled โDevelopment of a fully automated cervical cancer diagnosis system and severity estimation system by automatically labelling the cells in Whole Slide Images of pap smear test using Deep Learningโ. The position is purely temporary and is available up to 29.05.2026. The selected candidate will receive Rs 37,000 per month plus 8% HRA.

Salary Details
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs 37,000 per month
- HRA: 8% in addition to the monthly fellowship
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification:
- M.Tech. / MCA or equivalent degree in IT/CSE
- Minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks for General category
- Minimum 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks for SC/ST candidates
- Degree must be obtained as a full-time program from a recognized institute or university
- Candidates must have qualified NET/SET/GATE or possess a PhD in the relevant field
Desirable Qualification:
- Proficiency in deep learning
- Hands-on experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow
- At least one publication in a journal listed in Scopus or UGC CARE
