CSIR Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology has issued a notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for technical assistant and technician posts. There are nine vacancies across different disciplines, and the applications will be accepted in offline mode only.
As mentioned in the notification, the maximum age limit for all posts is 28 years, with relaxations available for reserved categories as per rules. The salary ranges from 19,900 to 35,400 depending on the post and pay level. The selection will be carried out through a trade test followed by a written examination.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit and other important details here. The technical assistant posts require a BSc in a relevant discipline with 60 percent marks and one year of experience or a diploma with 60 percent marks and two years of experience. The technician posts require SSC or tenth with science and 55 percent marks along with ITI or a trade certificate or two to three years of experience. The maximum age allowed is 28 years with relaxations for SC ST OBC and PwBD candidates.

Applicants who meet all eligibility conditions must download the application form from the official website and send the filled form along with documents and the applicable fee by registered or speed post. The envelope should be clearly marked with the name of the post.
The application fee is 500 for candidates belonging to General OBC and EWS categories. Candidates from SC ST Women PwBD and Ex Servicemen categories are exempted from paying any fee.
Selection Process:
The selection will be done through a trade test followed by a written examination. The written test will be conducted in OMR or computer based mode with objective type questions as per the notification.
