The Department of Social Work, University of Kashmir has announced walk-in interviews for 25 research staff positions under the project titled “Social Audit of Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirmaan (PM POSHAN) erstwhile Midday Meal Scheme in Kashmir Division.” The project is sponsored by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The interview will be held on November 12, 2025 (Wednesday).
According to the official advertisement, the university is seeking qualified candidates for Research Associate, Research Assistant, and Field Investigator positions. The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis for different durations as per the project requirements. Candidates will be selected based on their qualifications, experience, and performance in the interview.
The project aims to carry out a social audit of the PM POSHAN scheme across the Kashmir Division. Applicants with relevant educational backgrounds and field experience are encouraged to participate in the walk-in interview scheduled at the University of Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria:
1) Research Associate (Social Audit Officer): Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Social Work, Economics, Management, or allied disciplines with at least 55% marks and possess NET, M.Phil., or Ph.D. qualification along with two years of research experience. Knowledge of SPSS, data analysis, and strong report-writing skills are desirable.
2) Research Assistant (Social Audit Coordinator): Postgraduate degree in a social science discipline with at least 55% marks and two years of experience in field-based research and documentation is required. Desirable qualifications include proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and experience in data tabulation and analysis.
3) Field Investigator (Social Auditor): Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Social Work with at least 55% marks. One year of experience in data collection, familiarity with field-based research, and proficiency in MS Office and Excel will be preferred.

Interested candidates should bring self-attested copies of all educational certificates, mark sheets, and research experience documents on the day of the interview. Applicants are also required to fill out the Google Form mentioned in the official notice before appearing for the interview. Original documents must be produced at the time of the interview for verification.
The recruitment is purely on a temporary and contractual basis. The University reserves the right to terminate the engagement at any time if the performance of the candidate is found unsatisfactory. No TA or DA will be provided for attending the interview. The selected staff will be deployed in the Kashmir Division, and remuneration will be provided as per the project rules.
