Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has announced 2623 apprentice positions under its 2025 apprenticeship program. The notification was issued for multiple trades and disciplines across different sectors of ONGC, including Northern, Western, Eastern, Southern, Mumbai, and Central regions. Eligible candidates can apply online for the available posts through the ONGC website before November 6, 2025.
As per the details shared, candidates aged between 18 and 24 years are eligible to apply, with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories. The apprenticeship will be offered under both NAPS and NATS schemes, depending on the trade and qualification. Selected apprentices will receive monthly stipends ranging from Rs. 8,200 to Rs. 12,300 during the training period.
Interested candidates are advised to register on the respective apprenticeship portals as per their qualification type and submit the online application within the given timeline. The selection will be purely based on merit drawn from the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

The registration process for ONGC apprenticeships has already begun from October 16, 2025, and the last date for submission of applications is November 6, 2025. The result or selection list will be announced on November 26, 2025.
Vacancy Details:
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has invited applications for 2623 apprentice vacancies distributed across various work centres. The sector-wise vacancies are as follows: Northern Sector 165, Mumbai Sector 569, Western Sector 856, Eastern Sector 458, Southern Sector 322, and Central Sector 253.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the educational qualifications as per the discipline. Applicants should have passed 10th class, ITI, Diploma, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, or Graduate degree in the relevant field. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 24 years as on November 6, 2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST by 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) by 3 years, and PwBD by up to 10 to 15 years depending on the category.
How to Apply:
Eligible applicants must apply online only. Paper applications will not be accepted. Candidates applying under NAPS (Skill India portal) for trades listed from 1 to 29 must register at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in starting from October 16, 2025. Those applying under NATS (Board of Apprenticeship Training) for trades from 30 to 39 should register at nats.education.gov.in from October 17, 2025.
The application process does not require any fee. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying. The final merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of a tie, the older candidate will be given preference. Reservation of posts will follow the Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates.
Selection Process:
Selection for ONGC apprentices will be merit-based. The marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be the key criterion. No written test or interview will be conducted. In the case of equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate with higher age. Canvassing or influence at any stage will lead to disqualification.
Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend according to their qualification level. Graduate apprentices will be paid Rs. 12,300, diploma apprentices Rs. 10,900, trade apprentices with 10th or 12th qualification Rs. 8,200, ITI one-year trade Rs. 9,600, and ITI two-year trade Rs. 10,560.
