CSIR-IIIM Jammu invites applications for Junior Hindi Translator and Junior Stenographer posts

CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, has released Advertisement No. 04R/2025 inviting online applications for the positions of Junior Hindi Translator and Junior Stenographer. The institute is a part of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and focuses on high-quality research and development in drug discovery from natural resources.

The recruitment aims to fill vacancies in Group B and Group C non-gazetted categories with pay levels ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹1,12,400. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: For Junior Hindi Translator, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as an elective or compulsory subject at the degree level, or equivalent qualifications. A recognized diploma or certificate in translation or two years of translation experience is also required. For Junior Stenographer, candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with proficiency in stenography as per prescribed norms.

Age Limit: For Junior Hindi Translator, the maximum age limit is 30 years. For Junior Stenographer, it is 27 years. Age relaxation applies to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other reserved categories as per government norms.

Other Requirements: For Junior Hindi Translator, translation proficiency between Hindi and English is essential. For Junior Stenographer, practical knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is desirable.

The selection for Junior Hindi Translator will be based on a competitive written examination consisting of two papers. Paper I will be objective type and Paper II descriptive, designed to test translation and writing skills. For Junior Stenographer, selection will involve a written test and a skill test in stenography. The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the respective examinations.
