NIT Srinagar Physics Dept invites applications for Junior Research Fellow under BRNS-DAE funded project

National Institute of Technology Srinagar has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a BRNS-DAE funded research project titled Compositional engineering of AREXO4 (A= Li, K, Cs; RE=Gd, Y, Lu; X=Si or Ge) type of phosphor compounds for X-ray imaging technologies via their storage/scintillation characteristics. The position is based in the Department of Physics, NIT Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

As mentioned in the official advertisement, there is one vacancy available for the JRF position. The fellowship amount will be Rs. 37,000 per month for the first and second years and Rs. 42,000 per month for the third year, along with HRA subject to BRNS approval. The total duration of the project is three years, and the selected candidate will be eligible to register for a Ph.D. at NIT Srinagar as per institute rules.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying must hold an M.Sc. in Physics with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. The maximum age limit is 28 years, with applicable relaxations for reserved categories and women candidates. Candidates with strong academic backgrounds and an interest in research related to material science and X-ray imaging will be preferred.
