Jammu University JRF Vacancy in Department of Mathematics under SERB funded project

University of Jammu has invited applications from interested candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Mathematics. The post is under the SERB sponsored research project titled “Zeros of some complex harmonic polynomials”. The position is temporary and contractual, with the tenure linked to the duration of the project.

As per the notification, there is one vacancy available for this post. The project is sanctioned under the State University Research Excellence (SERB-SURE) scheme of the Science and Engineering Research Board. The total duration of the project is 36 months, out of which about 20 months are left. The fellowship includes two years as JRF and one year as SRF after evaluation.

Candidates with M.Sc. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics with first class or at least 6.5 CGPA are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who are NET or GATE qualified, though non-NET candidates will also be considered if suitable candidates are not available. The upper age limit is 28 years with relaxation of up to 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, women and differently abled candidates.
