NIT Srinagar Junior Project Fellow Vacancy 2025 for Civil and Environmental Sciences

National Institute of Technology Srinagar has issued an advertisement for the position of Junior Project Fellow under a JKST&IC sponsored project. The project is titled “Weather regimes and concurrent droughts and heatwave events” and will be carried out under the supervision of Dr. Munir Ahmad Nayak in the Department of Civil Engineering. One post is available under this notification.

As per the details, the appointment will be purely contractual for an initial period of five months. Extension may be granted for an additional three months depending on performance and release of funds. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 20,000 per month subject to funding agency approval.

Eligible applicants must have completed B.Tech or B.E in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, or a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, or Atmospheric Sciences. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Python or R programming, which are useful for research work in the project.
