Bharat Electronics Limited has released the official notification for temporary engagement of Project Engineer-I. The walk-in selection will be held at Guwahati, Assam, on 17 September 2025. A total of 16 vacancies are available in Electronics, Computer Science, and Electrical disciplines.
According to the notification, the upper age limit for applicants is 32 years as of 1 September 2025. Relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government rules. The initial engagement will be for three years, extendable up to four years based on performance. Candidates selected will be paid a consolidated salary starting from Rs. 40,000 per month in the first year, with annual increments up to Rs. 55,000 by the fourth year.
Interested candidates must pre-register by 10 September 2025 to participate in the walk-in selection process. The recruitment will be conducted through a written test followed by an interview. Applicants must bring required documents, certificates, and ID proofs at the venue.

Vacancy Details:
This drive aims to fill 16 vacancies for Project Engineer-I posts. Out of these, 9 vacancies are in Electronics, 4 in Computer Science, and 3 in Electrical. Reservation of posts will be applicable as per government norms.
Eligibility Criteria:
For eligibility, candidates must hold a B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc (4 years) engineering degree in the relevant discipline from an AICTE/UGC-approved institute. A minimum of two years of post-qualification industrial experience in networking, IT infrastructure, data centres, CCTV projects, or IP-enabled product support is required. Applicants must also be willing to work in rotational shifts and travel across India.

Applications can be submitted only through pre-registration. Candidates have to register online by scanning the QR code provided in the official notification before 10 September 2025.
The application fee is Rs. 472, payable through SBI Collect online or at SBI branches. Candidates from PwBD, SC, and ST categories are exempted from the fee.
Selection Process:
The selection process includes a written test followed by an interview. Shortlisting for interviews will be done based on written test scores, in the ratio of 1:5 for each category. The final merit will be prepared with 85% weightage for the written test and 15% for the interview.
