The Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs has released the official notification for the Security Assistant (Motor Transport) – SA/MT posts. This drive offers 455 vacancies for candidates willing to serve in different Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux across India. The posts are classified under Level-3 of the pay matrix along with allowances.
As per the notification, the age limit for the Security Assistant Motor Transport post is between 18 to 27 years with relaxations as per government norms. Candidates must have passed matriculation and should also hold a valid driving license. Selected applicants will be paid a salary in the range of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month along with admissible benefits.
The online application window will open from 6 September 2025 and remain active until 28 September 2025. Vacancy Details:
The Intelligence Bureau has announced a total of 455 vacancies for the post of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) – SA/MT (Driver). These posts are distributed among various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux across the country including Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and others.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board. They should possess a valid driving license for motor cars issued by a competent authority. Basic knowledge of motor mechanism is required with the ability to repair minor defects. Applicants should also have at least one year of driving experience in motor cars. A domicile certificate of the state for which the candidate applies is mandatory.
The age limit is set between 18 and 27 years as on 28 September 2025 with relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, departmental candidates, women, ex-servicemen, and sportspersons as per rules.
How to Apply:
Candidates who meet the requirements can apply online through the official MHA portal from 6 September 2025. The filled application form along with required documents must be submitted before 28 September 2025.
Application Fee:
The fee is Rs. 650 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, and Female candidates must pay Rs. 550. Payment should be made through online mode.
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of Tier I written exam, Tier II driving test and motor mechanism test, followed by an interview, document verification, and medical examination. Candidates must clear all stages to be considered for final selection.
