University of Kashmir Apprentice Recruitment Notification 2025 for Graduate and Diploma Holders

Institute of Technology, University of Kashmir invites applications for 20 apprentice positions across engineering and science streams. Apply via NATS portal before 7 September 2025.

The Institute of Technology, Zakura Campus, University of Kashmir has invited applications for apprenticeship training for the year 2025–26 under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973. A total of 20 apprentice positions are available, including 13 for graduate apprentices and 7 for diploma apprentices, across multiple engineering and science disciplines. The training will be for one year, extendable as per requirement.

As per the notification, the upper age limit is not specified, but candidates must have completed their qualifying degree with 60 percent marks within the last five years. The stipend is Rs 24,500 per month for graduate apprentices and Rs 14,000 per month for diploma apprentices. The selection will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree or diploma and interview performance.

The application process begins on 3 September 2025. Candidates must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal, then submit the downloaded application along with self-attested documents to the Director, Institute of Technology, Zakura Campus, University of Kashmir by 8 September 2025. Documents required include mark sheets, date of birth certificate, domicile certificate, Aadhaar, and bank passbook.

Graduate Apprentices include Electronics and Communication Engineering (2), Electrical Engineering (2), Mechanical Engineering (2), Civil Engineering (2), Computer Science and Engineering (2), Engineering Mathematics (2), and Engineering Physics (1). Diploma Apprentices include Electronics and Communication Engineering (1), Electrical Engineering (1), Mechanical Engineering (1), Civil Engineering (1), Computer Science and Engineering (2), and Engineering Physics (1).

Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate apprentices must have B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline, M.Sc. for Engineering Mathematics, and Engineering Physics. Diploma apprentices must hold a Diploma in the relevant discipline or B.Sc. for Engineering Physics. Candidates should have completed their qualifying degree or diploma within five years from the last date of this advertisement with at least 60 percent marks.

After downloading the application form, candidates should submit it along with required documents to the Institute of Technology, Zakura Campus, University of Kashmir before the last date.

Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit in the qualifying degree or diploma. Final selection will be based on merit and interview in a 70:30 ratio. Preference will be given to those with proficiency in handling engineering instruments.
