Hindustan Copper Limited GET Notification 2025 for 27 Graduate Engineer Trainee Vacancies

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has released the official notification for the appointment of Graduate Engineer Trainees in various disciplines through valid GATE scores. The notification invites online applications from Indian nationals for 27 vacancies across different cadres.

As per the notification, candidates must have a valid GATE score from 2023, 2024, or 2025 in the same discipline as their qualifying degree. Applicants should have at least 60 percent marks in the qualifying degree, while SC and ST candidates require a minimum of 55 percent. The maximum age for eligibility is 28 years as on 1st August 2025, with relaxation applicable for reserved categories.

The selection will be made on the basis of GATE score and personal interview. Selected candidates will be appointed as Graduate Engineer Trainees in mining, geology, metallurgy, electrical, mechanical, and systems disciplines. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 27 vacancies. Post wise details are as follows.

Mining – 10 posts.
Geology – 6 posts.
Metallurgy – 1 post.
Electrical – 2 posts.
Mechanical – 7 posts.
System – 1 post.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Mining, candidates must hold a full time Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering. For Geology, a full time postgraduate degree in Geology from a recognized Indian University or Institution is required. For Metallurgy, a full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Metallurgy, Material Science, or Chemical is required. For Electrical, candidates must have a full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical. For Mechanical, a full time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Machinery is required. For Systems, candidates must hold a full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Information Technology or Computer Science, or an MBA with specialization in Systems or IT, or MCA. Final year students awaiting results but meeting all conditions can also apply.

The maximum age limit is 28 years as on 1st August 2025. Relaxation is 5 years for SC and ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 to 15 years for PwBD depending on category, and as per rules for ex-servicemen.

How to Apply:
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility must apply online through the career section of the HCL website. They must fill all details including GATE registration number, qualifying degree details, marks, contact details, and upload scanned documents. After successful submission, candidates should print the application form and acknowledgement slip for record and document verification.

Application Fee:
The application fee is Rs. 500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, and other exempted categories do not need to pay the fee. The fee is payable through payment gateway or NEFT online transfer only.

Selection Process:
The selection process consists of GATE score with 70 percent weightage and personal interview with 30 percent weightage. Candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 for the interview stage. Final selection will be based on performance in both stages.
