The University of Jammu has released an official notification inviting applications in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for the posts of Project Associate-I, Project Assistant, and Field Assistant. These positions are sanctioned by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The appointments will be for an initial period of one year and may be extended for up to two more years depending on satisfactory performance.
As per the notification, candidates with the required educational qualifications can apply for these positions. The monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 31,000 along with applicable HRA. The recruitment will be based on interview performance, and candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility conditions before applying.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Project Associate-I, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Botany with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks. The upper age limit is as per rules.
For Field Assistant, applicants should have passed 10+2 in the science stream from a recognized board or hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a minimum of 55 percent marks.
For Project Assistant, candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry with at least 60 percent marks and should have proficiency in plant molecular biology techniques.
