The Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs has released the official notification for Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II (Technical) posts. A total of 394 vacancies are available under Advt. No. MHA JIO-II (Tech) Recruitment 2025. The notification was issued on 22 August 2025.
According to the notification, the application process will be conducted online through the official portals www.mha.gov.in and www.ncs.gov.in. The online registration starts on 23 August 2025 and will close on 14 September 2025. Selected candidates will be placed in Level-4 of the pay matrix with a salary between ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 plus allowances.
The recruitment process includes a written exam, skill test, interview, document verification, and medical examination. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria including age limit and educational qualifications before applying.

Eligibility Criteria:
The age limit is 18 to 27 years as of 14 September 2025. Relaxations apply to reserved categories as per rules. Educational qualification required is a Diploma in Engineering in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or Computer fields, or a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics, or a BCA.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates must apply online between 23 August 2025 and 14 September 2025 through the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs or the NCS portal. Applications via other modes will not be accepted.
Application Fee:
The fee is ₹650 for UR, OBC, and EWS male candidates, which includes exam and processing charges. For SC, ST, and all female candidates, the fee is ₹550 as processing charges only. Payment can be made online or via SBI challan.
Selection Process:
The selection process will include a Tier-I written exam, Tier-II skill/practical test, and Tier-III interview. Candidates who qualify these stages will undergo document verification and a medical examination before final appointment.
