Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, has released the official notification for Project Engineer-I posts. A total of 20 vacancies are available across its NS(S&CS) SBU at Kolkata, Vizag, and Karwar. The online registration process has started from 20 August 2025 and will remain open till 13 September 2025 at bel-india.in.
BEL is India’s premier professional electronics company, and this notification provides an opportunity for engineering graduates with relevant work experience to apply for contractual Project Engineer positions. Candidates must hold a full-time BE/B.Tech degree in relevant disciplines and should have at least two years of post-qualification work experience.
The maximum age limit is 32 years as on 01 August 2025, with relaxation for OBC, SC/ST, and PwBD categories as per government rules. The selection will be based on a written test followed by an interview.

Vacancy Details:
BEL has announced a total of 20 vacancies for Project Engineer-I across three locations. There are 14 posts in Vizag, 4 posts in Kolkata, and 2 posts in Karwar.
Eligibility Criteria::
Candidates applying must have a full-time four-year BE/B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Telecommunication, Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Instrumentation. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in installation, commissioning, or integration of electronics/electrical/embedded systems is required. The upper age limit is 32 years. Relaxations apply as per category.
The selection will be carried out in two stages: a written test of 85 marks and an interview of 15 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General, EWS, and OBC, and 30% for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.
How to Apply:
Candidates need to apply online through the BEL official website. They must complete registration, fill in details, upload documents, and pay the application fee before submitting the form.
The application fee is Rs. 472/- (Rs. 400 + 18% GST) for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from fee payment. The payment can be made online through SBI Collect or at SBI branches with challan.
Selection Process:
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000 in the first year, Rs. 45,000 in the second year, Rs. 50,000 in the third year, and Rs. 55,000 in the fourth year if extended. Additional benefits include reimbursement of Rs. 12,000 per year and a retention bonus of Rs. 25,000 per year, payable at the end of four years.
