Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora has announced a contractual opening for the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. The engagement will be valid for the academic year ending on 31 December 2025 or until the position is filled on a substantive basis, whichever comes earlier.
As per the official notice, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Additionally, applicants must have qualified NET/SET/SLET or possess a Ph.D. as per UGC norms. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 50,000 based on qualifications.
Applications are to be submitted online through the university portal, along with a non-refundable fee of Rs. 300. A hard copy of the form, accompanied by self-attested documents, must also be submitted to the Head of Department. The university has extended the last date for both online submission and hard copy submission.

Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility requires a Master’s degree in the relevant field with minimum prescribed marks. Candidates must have cleared NET/SET/SLET or hold a Ph.D. in line with UGC regulations. For disciplines where NET/SET/SLET is not conducted, these qualifications are exempted.

Selection Process:
