Kashmir University Centre for Women’s Studies & Research opens positions for Research Assistant and Field Investigator

Centre for Women’s Studies & Research, University of Kashmir, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Research Assistant and Field Investigator. These positions are under the ICSSR-funded project “Nari Shakti and Water Governance: A Gendered Approach to Water Security in Kashmir”.

As per the notification, there is one vacancy for each post. The Research Assistant will receive ₹37,000 per month, and the Field Investigator will get ₹20,000 per month. The tenure for the Research Assistant is one year, while the Field Investigator will be engaged for six months. Both tenures are extendable based on performance.

Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria must send their applications along with self-attested supporting documents to the undersigned by 26 August 2025. The selection will be based on merit, and the posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria:
There is one post of Research Assistant with a monthly emolument of ₹37,000, requiring a postgraduate degree in Social Sciences with at least 55% marks along with NET, M.Phil, or Ph.D. qualification. For the post of Field Investigator, one vacancy is available with a monthly salary of ₹20,000, requiring a postgraduate degree in Social Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks.
