Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has announced a walk-in interview for the post of Field Worker under a DBT funded project titled “Ornamental fish breeding and culture for livelihood development in Jammu region”. The interview is scheduled to be held on 19 August 2025 at the Directorate of Research, Main Campus Chatha, Jammu.
As per the official notification, the position is purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹18,000 plus 8% HRA. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements before attending the interview. Those with additional desirable qualifications and relevant experience will be given preference.

Candidates must have a graduation degree in Fisheries Science, Zoology, or Life Sciences. Desirable qualifications include M.F.Sc., M.V.Sc., or M.Sc. in Zoology, knowledge of ornamental fishes, proficiency in the local language, computer skills, and willingness to travel across the Jammu region for sampling work.
