Government Medical College Srinagar has released Advertisement Notice No. 11 of 2025 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Senior Resident, Demonstrator, or Tutor in various departments. The recruitment is open to candidates domiciled in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir possessing the required academic and professional qualifications.
As per the official notification, the upper age limit is 45 years for most disciplines, and 50 years for Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine. The selection will be made through an MCO-based written test. The initial tenure is for one year and can be extended up to a maximum of three years based on performance.
Interested candidates must apply online through the official website of GMC Srinagar (www.gmcs.ac.in) from 1st August 2025 to 16th August 2025. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- is applicable. Applicants are required to upload scanned documents and photographs in the prescribed format.

Eligibility criteria for each post are as per the Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022. Candidates must have MD/MS/DNB/M.Ch./DM in the concerned specialty from an institution recognized by the NMC. For Biochemistry, non-medical candidates with M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry are also eligible. Final-year candidates awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

The application fee is Rs. 1000/- to be paid online using Net Banking, UPI, Credit or Debit Card. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based solely on their performance in an MCO-based written test as per Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024.
