Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, has announced openings for two positions of Project Associate-I for the Research Project (RP-155) titled “Augmented Reality-Virtual Reality Based Visualization for Lost/Endangered Architectural Heritage Sites in Jammu & Kashmir.” The project is funded by the Science and Heritage Research Initiative (SHRI), Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
As per the official notice, candidates with a B.Arch. degree from a recognized institute are eligible to apply. Applicants who possess NET or GATE qualification will receive a higher stipend compared to others. The appointment will be purely on a temporary basis for one year, extendable by another year based on performance and availability of funds.

Eligibility Criteria:
For the position of Project Associate-I, candidates must have a B.Arch. degree from a recognized university or institute. Desirable qualifications include higher degrees in the relevant field. Essential skills include proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and 3D software such as 3Ds Max and Rhino, along with knowledge of AR-VR technologies like Unity or Unreal Engine. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in GIS, LiDAR, drones, and photogrammetry. Desirable attributes include research aptitude and willingness to participate in field surveys and documentation.
