The Department of Geoinformatics at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, has issued an advertisement inviting applications from eligible and motivated candidates for two temporary project-based positions under the CryoSCOPE project. The project, titled “CRYOsphere Science Concluding in new Observations and Productive Exploitation (CryoSCOPE),” is sponsored by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, under the Horizon Europe initiative.
As per the notification, the two posts available are Senior Project Associate and Technical Assistant. These are temporary positions and co-terminus with the project. Applicants must possess the specified qualifications and skills relevant to each position. Candidates will be selected through an interview scheduled in the Department of Geoinformatics.

Educational Qualifications:
Senior Project Associate: Candidates must possess M.Sc. in Geoinformatics with four years of research experience in the relevant field. Desirable qualification includes proficiency in cryospheric remote sensing and a track record of research publications.
Technical Assistant: Candidates must have M.Sc. in Geoinformatics. Preference will be given to candidates having working experience in cryosphere-related fieldwork.
