The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Hindi Translators JHT Examination 2025. The recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 437 vacancies across various ministries and departments of the central government.
As per the official notification, the posts include Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Senior Hindi Translator, and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator). Candidates holding a master’s degree with Hindi and English subjects, along with a diploma in translation or two years of experience, are eligible to apply. The salary for these posts ranges from Pay Level 6 to Pay Level 7.
The online application process has started on 5th June 2025 and will continue till 26th June 2025. Interested and eligible candidates must apply through the official SSC website before the deadline. An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for certain categories, while SC/ST/PwBD/ESM and women candidates are exempted. Post Name: Senior Hindi Translator (SHT)/Senior Translator (ST) in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations

Eligibility Criteria of SSC Combined Hindi Translators JHT Vacancies:
Candidates must fulfill the required qualification and age criteria as of 01-08-2025. The basic educational qualification for all posts is a master’s degree along with translation proficiency.
For Junior Hindi Translator and related posts:
Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, or
Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, or
Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi or English as a compulsory medium with the other subject as elective, or
Recognized Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years of translation experience in a government setup.
Age Limit:
For Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator): 18 to 30 years as on 26-06-2025
For all other posts: 18 to 30 years as on 01-08-2025
How to Apply: Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria must apply online through the official SSC portal ssc.gov.in between 5th June and 26th June 2025.
Application Fee: The application fee is ₹100 for General and OBC category candidates. Women candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM categories are exempted. Payment must be made through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit cards.
Selection Process for SSC Combined Hindi Translators JHT 2025: The selection process includes two stages. Paper-I is a computer-based examination with objective-type questions. Paper-II is a descriptive type examination. Final selection will be based on the combined performance in both papers and document verification.
