The Indian Air Force has released the official notification inviting applications for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2025. The recruitment is for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed with relevant degrees in Engineering or other disciplines as per the detailed notification. For Flying Branch, candidates should have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics along with a graduation degree. For Ground Duty, qualifications depend on the technical or non-technical nature of the post.
Age Limit:
For Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on July 1, 2026 (born between July 2, 2002 to July 1, 2006).
Candidates with valid Commercial Pilot License (DGCA) may apply till 26 years.
For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years as on July 1, 2026 (born between July 2, 2000 to July 1, 2006).
Other Requirements:
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of course commencement. Marrying during training will lead to disqualification. Proof of date of birth must match Matriculation or equivalent certificates only.
