Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navaratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced openings for Software Trainee and Software Professional positions. These vacancies are being filled for BEL’s Software SBU division to execute various high-profile national projects.
As per the official notification dated 04 June 2025, the posts include Junior Software Trainee-I, Senior Software Trainee-I, and Software Professional-I. There are 40 vacancies in total. Candidates will be engaged on a temporary basis, and those selected may be posted in cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Vizag, Mumbai, Kochi, and others.

Eligibility Criteria of Software Trainees and Professionals: Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.
Educational Qualifications:
Senior Software Trainee-I: MCA or M.Sc in Computer Science from a recognized university or institute.
Junior Software Trainee-I: BCA or B.Sc in Computer Science or IT from a recognized university or institute.
Software Professional-I: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Science, IT, Data Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or AI Engineering. Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in relevant software domains is required for this post.
Age Limit:
Senior Software Trainee-I: Not more than 28 years.
Junior Software Trainee-I: Not more than 26 years.
Software Professional-I: Not more than 40 years.
Age relaxation applies for SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories as per government rules.
How to Apply:

Application Fee: Candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee through SBI Collect. The fee structure is as follows:
Senior Software Trainee-I: ₹150 + 18% GST
Junior Software Trainee-I: ₹100 + 18% GST
Software Professional-I: ₹450 + 18% GST
SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from paying any fee.
Selection Process for Bharat Electronics Software Posts 2025:
Selection will be done on the basis of a written test for Junior and Senior Software Trainees. For Software Professionals, the selection process includes a written test followed by a personal interview. The written exam will assess candidates’ knowledge relevant to software development and IT maintenance roles.
