CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa has officially released the notification for the recruitment of 25 positions including Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Stenographer. As per Advertisement No. 02/2025, the application process has commenced from 26th May 2025 and will remain open till 24th June 2025. Eligibility Criteria of Junior Secretariat and Stenographer Vacancies:
Educational Qualifications:
For Junior Secretariat Assistant: Candidates must have passed 10+2/Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized board. They should also have typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computer.
For Junior Stenographer: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent and must possess stenography skills in Hindi or English.
Age Limit:
Junior Secretariat Assistant: 18 to 28 years
Junior Stenographer: 18 to 27 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other categories.
Other Requirements:
Candidates applying for Junior Secretariat Assistant must qualify the typing proficiency test.
Applicants must be Indian nationals and meet all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application.
Application Process for CSIR NIO Posts 2025:
Applicants must submit their applications through the online mode by visiting nio.res.in. After filling the online form, candidates must upload required documents and pay the fee as per their category before the final submission.
Application Fee: For General, OBC, and EWS candidates, the application fee is Rs. 500.SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
Payment should be made online through the payment gateway during the application process.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on a written competitive examination followed by a proficiency test. The merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written test. For Junior Stenographer, shorthand skill test will also be conducted. Final selection will be subject to document verification and meeting eligibility.
