Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna company under the Ministry of Defence, has released the official notification for recruitment of Trainee Engineer-I and Project Engineer-I on a temporary basis. The recruitment is for various projects at the Kotdwara Unit and across different locations in India.
As per the official notification issued under Advertisement No. 21001/HR/KOT/REC/2025/03, the upper age limit for Trainee Engineer-I is 28 years and for Project Engineer-I is 32 years as on 01.06.2025. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs.55,000 per month depending on post and year of engagement. Selection will be based on a written test and interview as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: For both posts, candidates must possess B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) with pass class from a recognized institution in disciplines like Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Communication & Telecommunication.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years for Trainee Engineer-I and 32 years for Project Engineer-I as on 01.06.2025. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10 years for PwBD candidates is applicable.
Experience: No experience is required for Trainee Engineer-I. For Project Engineer-I, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.

Application Fee:
The application fee for the recruitment process is structured according to categories: Rs.472/- (Rs.400 + 18% GST) for Project Engineer-I and Rs.177/- (Rs.150 + 18% GST) for Trainee Engineer-I. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from payment. The fee should be paid online through SBI Collect.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a written test and interview for Project Engineer-I, and only a written test for Trainee Engineer-I. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD. The written test will be for 100 marks and will include negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer.
