CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune has released an official notification for the recruitment of 13 Project Associate-I positions under the project titled “Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) – Affordable Health Care (AHC)”. These positions will be purely temporary and are offered under project code MMP035203 in the Organic Chemistry Division.
The posts are open to candidates with qualifications in natural or pharmaceutical sciences with specialization in organic, medicinal, or general chemistry. Selected candidates will be involved in organic synthesis and analytical chemistry roles. The appointment is for six months initially and may be extended based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria of Project Associate-I Posts:
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Master’s or Integrated Master’s degree in Natural or Pharmaceutical Sciences. Specializations include Organic, Medicinal, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Experience in organic synthesis is essential.
Desirable Experience:
For 11 posts in Organic Synthesis: Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in multi-step synthesis in research institutes or pharma/agrochemical industries. Flow chemistry experience is an added advantage.
For 2 posts in Analytical Chemistry: Experience in handling HPLC and LC-MS instruments will be preferred.
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 35 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/women and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Other Requirements:
The candidates must be willing to work on synthesis, analysis, and scale-up of APIs or project sample testing as required.
