Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, has reopened the application window for the post of Assistant (Administrative Support Staff). The application portal will remain active for 10 days, starting from 17 May 2025 to 26 May 2025.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 25 Assistant posts under Level-4 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, with reservations for various categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBDs, and Ex-Servicemen. Selected candidates will be offered a salary between ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month along with standard government allowances and benefits.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university is required. Candidates must also be proficient in computer usage. Preference will be given to those with experience in educational/research institutions or government offices.
Age Limit: Maximum age is 25 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxations are applicable: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD. Ex-servicemen and government employees are eligible for further relaxations as per rules.

Candidates are required to pay an application fee through online mode. The application fee for UR/OBC/EWS is ₹944 (including GST). For SC/ST/PwBD/ESM and all women candidates, the fee is ₹472 (including GST). The fee will be refunded (excluding bank charges) for women, SC, ST, ESM, and PwBD candidates who appear in the written examination.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a written examination. The exam will consist of two parts — Part A (Quantitative Aptitude and Basic Computer Knowledge) and Part B (Reasoning, English Comprehension, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs). The exam will be OMR-based and have 100 questions with negative marking. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% overall for UR candidates, with relaxations for reserved categories.
