Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Khetri Copper Complex, has released a recruitment notification for engagement of 209 Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The apprenticeship will be conducted across various trades, and eligible Indian citizens are invited to apply online through the official HCL website.
The online application window is open from 19 May 2025 and will close on 2 June 2025. The selection will be merit-based, considering marks obtained in the 10th board and ITI (where applicable). Applicants must also register themselves at the Government apprenticeship portal prior to applying.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
– For Mate, Blaster, and Front Office Assistant: 10th pass (under 10+2 system or equivalent)
– For all other trades: 10th pass + ITI in relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute
Age Limit (as on 1 May 2025):
– Minimum: 18 years
– Maximum: 30 years
– Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC – 3 years; other relaxations as per government norms
Other Conditions:
– Candidates who passed ITI in 2023 or earlier must submit an affidavit confirming they have not previously undergone apprenticeship or taken any employment
– Candidates with higher technical qualifications (e.g., Diploma, B.E.) are not eligible

– Enter apprenticeship portal registration number in the HCL form
Note: Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will be rejected.
Selection Methodology:
– Based on merit
– For trades requiring ITI: 30% weightage for ITI marks + 70% for 10th marks
– For trades without ITI (Mate, Blaster, Front Office Assistant): 100% weightage to 10th marks
– Additional 10 bonus marks for dependents of current HCL/KCC employees
– If scores are tied, older candidates will be preferred
