The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has announced its BARC Junior Research Fellowships 2025 notification, inviting applications for 105 fellowships across disciplines in Physical, Chemical, and Life Sciences. Selected candidates will pursue cutting-edge research projects leading to a Ph.D. at the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI).
As per the official notification of BARC Junior Research Fellowships 2025, the maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years with relaxations as per government norms. Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 initially, which may increase to ₹42,000 upon promotion to Senior Research Fellow. Applications are invited online, and the last date to apply is 19 May 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 60% in B.Sc. and 55% in M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc., or B.S.-M.S. (Single degree). B.S. candidates must have at least 75%. Valid scores in national-level exams like GATE, NET (JRF), JEST, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, or JGEEBILS are mandatory.
Age Limit: Candidates should be less than 28 years as on 01 August 2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit is 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Other Requirements: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. Degrees must be in specified fields with required subject combinations.
