The National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) has officially released its notification for Group ‘C’ posts under Advt. No. 05/2025. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for multiple vacancies including Technician, Technical Assistant, Artist, and Office Assistant positions across Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Dhenkanal units.
According to the notification of NCSM, the vacancies are open in various trades such as Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, and Fine Arts. Candidates will be placed in different units under NCSM and will receive a pay scale based on Government norms. The last date for submitting the online application form and paying the fee is 23 May 2025.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website of NCSM. There is an application fee for certain categories, and women and SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates are exempted. Candidates should carefully check the eligibility criteria before applying.

The registration process for NCSM vacancies started from 24 April 2025. The last date for submission of the online application and payment of fees is 23 May 2025. Admit cards for tests will be issued via email to shortlisted candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
For Technician-A posts, candidates must have SSC/Matriculation with ITI certificate in the relevant trade along with one or two years of experience.
For Technical Assistant-A posts, candidates should have a three-year Diploma or BCA/IT certification in relevant fields.
For Artist-A, a Diploma or Certificate in Fine/Commercial Arts along with experience is required.
For Office Assistant Gr.III, a Higher Secondary qualification with a typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi is mandatory.
Age Limit:
Technician, Technical Assistant, and Artist posts have a maximum age limit of 35 years.
Office Assistant Gr.III posts have a maximum age limit of 25 years.
Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms.
How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the official NCSM career portal at ncsm.gov.in/career. They must fill out the online form, upload scanned documents, and submit the application by 23 May 2025.
Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹885 (including GST) online using Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. SC/ST/PwBD/ESM and women candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of an Aptitude Test or Written Test followed by a Skill Test and Document Verification. The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the examinations conducted.
