The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee has released a notification for the recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator and Hindi Officer. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. CSIR-CBRI -7/2025 and aims to fill a total of 3 positions.
As per the notification, there are 2 vacancies for Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) and 1 vacancy for Hindi Officer (HO). Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.
i) Junior Hindi Translator:
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Hindi/English or any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory subjects at the degree level. They should also possess a recognized translation diploma or 2 years of translation experience in any central or state government department. Age should not exceed 30 years as of the last date of application.
ii) Hindi Officer:
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Hindi or English with the other language as an elective at the degree level and a minimum of 3 years of experience in translation, teaching, or research in Hindi/English. The upper age limit is 35 years.
How to Apply:

Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay an application fee based on their category, for General category candidates application fee is Rs 500/- and SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from fee. The payment must be made through online mode.

For Junior Hindi Translator:
Selection will be made through a two-paper written test. Paper I will be an MCQ-based test, while Paper II will be descriptive, including paragraph writing and translation work. Final merit will be prepared based on marks scored in Paper II.
For Hindi Officer:
Candidates will appear for a written test followed by an interview. The written test will carry 75% weightage and the interview 25%. The exam will be MCQ-based and conducted in Hindi.
