Kashmir University has issued Advertisement Notice No. 03 of 2025 inviting online applications from eligible domiciles of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir for various posts in the Department of Geography & Disaster Management. This recruitment drive includes openings for Cartographer, Surveying Assistant, and Photographer positions.
As per the notification, the upper age limit for applicants varies between 27 and 43 years based on categories, with a minimum age of 18 years. Selected candidates will be paid salaries ranging from ₹16,900 to ₹1,12,400 depending on the post. The selection process includes screening and other stages to be notified separately.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of Kashmir University till 28th April 2025. Candidates must also submit hard copies by 2nd May 2025. Vacancy Details:
This recruitment drive aims to fill the following posts in the Department of Geography & Disaster Management, University of Kashmir.
1) Cartographer: 01 Post
2) Surveying Assistant: 01 Post
3) Photographer: 01 Post
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.
i) Cartographer: Candidates must possess an M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with at least 50% marks and a six-month certificate or diploma in RS & GIS or Geoinformatics. Proficiency in Digital Cartography is desirable.
ii) Surveying Assistant: Candidates must have an M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with at least 50% marks and proficiency in advanced surveying techniques including total station and DGPS.
iii) Photographer: Candidates must have an M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with at least 50% marks, along with proficiency in photogrammetry and image interpretation.
The age limit is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 40 years for open merit candidates, 42 years for physically challenged applicants, and 43 years for SC, ST, RBA, OBC, EWS, LAC/IB categories.
