The Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu, has officially announced a vacancy for the post of Project Fellow under the JK Science Technology & Innovation Council (JKSTIC) sponsored research project titled “Assimilating Domain Knowledge using Ontology Mapping for Enhanced Reasoning Capability.” The position offers a unique opportunity to work in an advanced research domain integrating knowledge engineering, ontology-based systems, and intelligent computation.
As per Advertisement Notice No. LSS/PI/JKSTIC/13 dated 16 April 2025, the appointment will be for an initial period of 9 months, which may be extended based on performance and project continuity. The project is scheduled to run from January 2024 to January 2026. The monthly consolidated fellowship for the Project Fellow is ₹20,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

1) Educational Qualification:
MCA, M.Tech. (Computer Science) or equivalent postgraduate degree in Computer Science/Applications from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks is required (50% for SC/ST candidates).
2) Preferred Qualifications:
UGC-NET/SLET qualified candidates will be given preference.
Prior research experience in ontology mapping, knowledge representation, or semantic reasoning will be considered advantageous.
3) Fellowship Details:
Monthly consolidated remuneration: ₹20,000
Tenure: Initially 9 months (extendable based on performance)
