The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Srinagar has released an official notification for the engagement of teaching faculty on a contractual basis. Applications are invited for the posts of Professor and Reader in the disciplines of Ilmul Advia and Moalajat. The appointment is for a fixed tenure under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
As mentioned in the official notification dated 17 April 2025, the walk-in interview for these posts will be held on 28 April 2025. The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years, and the consolidated monthly remuneration ranges from ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,25,000 depending on the post. Retired faculty up to 65 years of age may also apply.
Interested candidates who meet the eligibility conditions must appear in person with their application in the prescribed format along with all required documents on the day of the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

1) Educational Qualification:
For Professor: Postgraduate degree in Unani system of medicine in the concerned subject. Teaching experience of 10 years or equivalent in research (minimum 5 years as Reader or Associate Professor). Published 5 research papers in indexed journals or submitted equivalent project report or books.
For Reader: Postgraduate degree in Unani system of medicine in the concerned subject. Teaching or research experience of 5 years. At least 3 research papers published in indexed journals or equivalent.
Candidates must be registered with a recognized Unani Medical Council. Teaching code and NET preferred.
2) Age Limit:
Maximum 55 years for general candidates.
Retired teachers up to 65 years may also apply.
How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria must appear for the walk-in interview at the Deputy Director’s Office, RRIUM, Srinagar. The reporting time is from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM for Ilmul Advia and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for Moalajat on 28 April 2025.
