The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the J&K Combined Competitive (Main) Examination 2024. A total of 90 vacancies have been announced for posts under the Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service, J&K Police (G) Service, and J&K Accounts (G) Service.
As per the notification PSC/Exam/2025/02 dated 17 April 2025, only those candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Examination 2024 and meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply. The age limit varies depending on the category, and the application process is entirely online through the JKPSC website.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications from 23 April 2025. The last date to complete the form along with the requisite application fee is 8 May 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 90 vacancies through the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination 2024. There are 30 posts each under the Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service, J&K Police (G) Service, and J&K Accounts (G) Service. The post-wise category-wise breakup includes reservations for OM, SC, ST-I, ST-II, OBC, LAC/IB, RBA, and EWS categories.

The candidate must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and should have qualified the Preliminary Examination 2024. He/she must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University in India or a foreign university declared equivalent by the Government. Candidates who have appeared for their degree exams must have qualified the same before 02 December 2024. For MBBS and medical graduates who haven’t completed internship, provisional admission is allowed if they submit the required certificate.

The application fee for the recruitment process is structured according to categories: General Category candidates need to pay Rs. 1200, Reserved Category candidates Rs. 700, while PHC candidates are exempted.
Selection will be done on the basis of Combined Competitive (Main) Examination and Personality Test (Interview). The Mains examination will consist of 8 conventional essay-type papers, including one qualifying paper. Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks set by the Commission will be called for the interview. The interview carries 250 marks and is mandatory for final selection.
