Wildlife Institute of India (WII) Openings 2025 – Apply for Associate & Scientist Posts by 5 May

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, has issued an official notification for the engagement of candidates in project-based contractual posts. Applications are invited for five vacancies under various designations, including Project Associate, Project Scientist, and Principal Project Associate.

These appointments are purely temporary and will be filled through an offline application process. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and submit their applications with all required documents by the given deadline.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.

1) Project Associate I: Master’s degree in Wildlife Science/Zoology/Environmental Sciences or similar field.
Desirable: 3 years of wildlife or DNA-based forensic research.
Age limit: 50 years.

2) Project Scientist I: Ph.D. in Natural Sciences or Forestry/Agricultural Sciences.
Desirable: Experience in animal tracking, transects, or camera trapping.
Age limit: 35 years.

3) Project Scientist II: Ph.D. with 3 years of experience or Master’s in Engineering/Technology with 3 years of experience.
Desirable: Training/community engagement experience.
Age limit: 40 years.

4) Principal Project Associate: Master’s in Engineering/Technology with 6 years of experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience.
Desirable: GIS, R/Python, report writing.
Age limit: 40 years.

5) Senior Project Associate: Master’s degree with 4 years of experience or Ph.D.
Desirable: Herpetology, crocodile ecology, satellite tagging, genetics, island fieldwork.
Age limit: 40 years.

Selection Process:
Selection will be done on the basis of academic qualifications, work experience, and relevant publications. The final selection will include an online interview. A maximum of 10 candidates per position will be shortlisted for the interview.
