The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Advertisement No. 12/2025 on 22nd August 2025 inviting online applications for 84 permanent vacancies. The posts include Assistant Public Prosecutor, Public Prosecutor in CBI, and Lecturer positions in multiple subjects for the Union Territory of Ladakh.
According to the notification, the application process begins on 23rd August 2025 and remain open until 11th September 2025 at 11:59 PM. Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Levels 07, 09, and 10 under the 7th CPC, with allowances as per central government rules.
This opportunity is open for law graduates and postgraduates with B.Ed. in relevant subjects who wish to apply for regular central government service. The recruitment will be conducted through the UPSC online recruitment application (ORA) portal.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for Assistant Public Prosecutor must have a degree in law with age limit 30 years for UR/EWS, 33 for OBC, and 35 for SC. For Public Prosecutor, candidates need a degree in law with 7 years of practice at the Bar in criminal cases. The age limit is 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST. For Lecturer positions, candidates must have a post graduation in the concerned subject with B.Ed. The maximum age is 45 years for ST candidates, with relaxation for Ladakh as per rules.

Interested applicants must complete the online application through the UPSC ORA portal. They need to register, fill in personal and academic details, upload documents, pay the application fee online, and submit the form before 11th September 2025. Offline applications will not be accepted.
The selection will be based on shortlisting, recruitment test if required, and interview. The salary offered is as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Assistant Public Prosecutor will receive Pay Level 07, Public Prosecutor Pay Level 10, and Lecturers Pay Level 09.
