The University of Kashmir has announced a notification inviting online applications for two tenure based Assistant Professor posts. These positions are available in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovations and will remain active for five years or until the project concludes.
As per the official notice, the posts fall under Academic Level 10 with a monthly pay between 57700 to 182400 along with applicable allowances. The upper qualification requirements include a postgraduate degree in specific subjects, NET or SET where applicable, and conditions for Ph.D based exemptions.

The university has invited applications to fill two Assistant Professor tenure positions under Post Code PGD-CIRI-1. The selected candidates will work in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovations under the DBT funded project.

Eligibility criteria:
Postgraduate in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or Clinical Biochemistry. Candidates must have specialization in genomics, epigenetics or mass spectrometry. NET is compulsory for postgraduate degree holders unless they belong to the UT of J&K, in which case SET becomes compulsory. Candidates holding a Ph.D in accordance with UGC regulations are exempted from NET or SET based on the conditions mentioned in the notification. A Ph.D from foreign universities ranked in the top 500 globally is also acceptable. Candidates must follow the grade equivalence rules and ensure valid supporting documents for any qualification or exemption claim.

After completing the form, applicants must pay the fee online and submit the application. A printed hard copy along with all enclosures must be sent to the Deputy Registrar Recruitment before the closing date.
Application fee:
The application fee is 1200 rupees, payable online. However, persons with benchmark disabilities are exempted from fee payment.
Selection process:
Shortlisting will follow the UGC Regulations 2018 criteria if applications exceed the required number. Academic score, research publications, experience, awards and related parameters will be considered for shortlisting. Final selection will be based on performance in the interview. Candidates must present original documents during the process. No TA or DA will be provided for attending the interview.
